Speech Therapy helps children understand language, express their needs and ideas, speak more clearly and build confident interaction with others.
Who is this for?
For children up to 12 years old who may benefit from support with speech, communication or language. A diagnosis is not needed to enquire or book.

What happens at the first assessment?
- About 1 hour with a qualified Speech Therapist
- Parents complete an intake form and a short interview about the child’s development and concerns
- The session includes a warm-up, observation and structured play-based tasks
- Parents receive same-day feedback that begins with the child’s strengths
- An optional detailed report can be prepared within 10 working days; fees are explained before you proceed
Private, individual sessions
Sessions are conducted one-to-one with a qualified Speech Therapist. Weekday and limited weekend appointments are available.
Parents stay involved
For young or anxious children, a parent usually stays during the assessment. During therapy sessions, this depends on the child and session type. The therapist will advise and always explain what was done and how to continue at home.
Packages and combined support
Four-session Speech Therapy packages are available. Combined OT and Speech Therapy packages are available for children who need both. Package sessions have a set validity period, which our admin will explain.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a doctor’s referral?
No. Parents can book directly. Please bring any doctor’s, hospital or school reports you already have.
How often are sessions?
Frequency is recommended after assessment, usually once or twice a week. Weekday and limited weekend slots are available by appointment.
Can parents join the session?

Is there a waiting list?
Slots depend on branch and therapist availability. Our admin will advise the earliest available appointment.
Is a hearing check needed?
If there are concerns about hearing, the therapist may suggest a hearing check with a doctor or audiologist.
Will the assessment diagnose a condition?
No. It describes communication strengths and support needs. A formal medical diagnosis is outside the scope of Kidsaurus Therapy.
Can I reschedule a session?
Please give at least 3 days’ notice when requesting a change.
